(The Love ToothBrush Patent #D363,820 November 7, 1995.)
Hesy-Ra (also read Hesire and Hesy-Re)
is recognized as the first 'Named Dentist in
Human History,' who had a notable title,
Wer-ibeḥsenjw, which meant, "Great One of
the Ivory cutters" or "Great One of the Dentists."
He lived in the Kemet Region, which was later
named Egypt after Alexander the Great conquered
the area in 332 BC, ending the Pharaonic rule.
Hesy-Ra served under the Pharaoh Djoser who
ruled during the Third Dynasty, and the
First Dentist who was Black has
a tomb in Saqqara
which exhibits intricate paintings and
beautifully-carved wooden panels.
Next time!
