How Did The First African Peoples...Clean Their Teeth?

 


How?


With durable twigs from trees, of course.

Thinking about those Prehistoric times, 

those who lived at the time could take 

rocks and smash young, broken-off twigs 

between them to fray the ends and...Wallah!

They now have a cleaning implement 

to move along the gum

line to remove buildup!


A small twig could also be chewed between 

the teeth to make the same type of primitive  

oral tool (miswak sticks)!


Later, tools like that were found, dating back to

3,500 BC  in Kemet, before it was called Egypt.

People all over used this rudimentary and natural 

toothpick method to clean the mouth.


Next, you might guess, they had to find a 

way to conquer acquired bad breath!
